SERC: Research Labs

SERC is engaged in cutting-edge research programs in areas relating to high-performance systems and applications. The research focus of SERC can be broadly classified into three areas, namely Computer Systems, Computational Science, and Bioinformatics. The active research areas pursued in SERC are: Computer Aided VLSI Design, System on Chip and Embedded Processor Architectures, Computer Architecture, Compiler Optimization, Database Systems, Graphics and Visualization, Grid Computing, High Performance Computing, Multimedia Systems and Information Security, Computational Electromagnetics, Numerical Analysis and Algorithms, Scientific Computing, and Parallel Numerical Algorithms, Computational and Nanophotonics, Medical Imaging, Image Reconstruction Algorithms, Computational genomics, structural bioinformatics, systems biology and Drug and Vaccine Discovery and Bioinformatic Databases and Software Tools. The Centre is involved in several sponsored research projects in collaboration with many government and private agencies.
